All You Need To Know About Our Upcoming Retreat
The 2025 event will be held April 23 - 27, 2025. The participant fee for 2024 was ISK 305,000. We will post the 2025 fee as soon as it is confirmed, but due to inflation in Iceland it will be higher than this. Registration for the Iceland Writers Retreat is on a first come, first served basis.
SPECIAL EARLY BIRD OFFER FOR 2025: If you pay your ISK 60,000 deposit by the end of May, you'll get ISK 40,000 (about US $285) off the final fee. Note that fees and descriptions listed below apply to the 2024 event. They will be similar, but not necessarily identical, to the 2025 event.

In addition to the participation costs, you may also be interested in accommodation. The venue for 2024 was the Fosshotel Reykjavík. We secure a special conference rate, which for 2024 was ISK 21,000 per night for a single room or ISK 24,000 per night for a double room (both with breakfast included). A code to book accommodation at the preferred rate for 2025 will be sent to participants. There will be a limited numbers of rooms available at this rate.
Registration for the Iceland Writers Retreat is processed by a secure website and is on a first come, first served basis. Once the payment has been processed, we will send you all the details and schedule.
Non-Participating Partners
You can sign up a non-participating partner. Non-participating partners can attend all the events (one day tour, receptions, welcome dinner, pub night, etc.), except the writing workshops and lunches on those two days. If you are also booking accommodation, please remember to sign up to a double rather than a single room. The cost for a non-participating partner was ISK 103,000 in 2024. We will announce the 2025 rate when it is confirmed.
